1st Wolverton Scout Group is the oldest scout group in
Buckinghamshire. 1st Wolverton was formed on the 23rd
of February 1908, shortly after scouting had been created by
Robert Baden-Powell.

1st Wolverton visited Braggers Wood and Brownsea Island
during family camp in 2010

at Poole Harbour during our visit.

MK Scout and Guide Band

Do you play a musical instrument – YES
Are you in a band - NO

You must have your own instrument and be capable of reading music and taking instruction from a conductor. You must be a SCOUT/EXPLORER or a GUIDE/RANGER in MK.

If this is you – we are looking for you to have a try out in a new Scout and Guide Band in MK.

This is not a Marching Band and will be playing at events like St Georges Day, Gang Show, Promotional events etc etc. This can also go towards badge work for both Scouts and Guides.

There are two try out sessions on the 21st July 2012.

10am till 1pm and 2pm – 4pm

Quarries Camp Site the Lodge Building.

You will be asked to play any music that you feel comfortable with – so practise. You will not be asked to stay for the whole session but maybe asked to return on the Sunday 22nd at 2pm till 4pm with a pre-learned bit of music from Saturday. The band will then play together to see how it sounds and to see who will be accepted.

Interested – please come along or email mkddc02@hotmail.co.uk or ring 079556719890 for more info.
